A live camera moves through the garden in search of

conversational gestures: whispering, listening, waiting,

and performing attention. Across the image, a parallel

text unfolds: fragments gathered from conversations,

rumours, statements, anxieties, and phrases that keep

returning around recent transformations in the cultural

landscape. The piece stages a slippage between what

is seen, what is spoken, and what circulates.
